Home Foreclosures Reach Record High

Home foreclosures and the rate of homes entering foreclosures rose to record high in the second quarter. A record 1.2 million homes were in foreclosure during the second quarter of 2008.

Nine percent of American homeowners with a mortgage were either behind on their payments or in foreclosure at the end of June, as damage from the housing crisis continues.
